A Deepal S09 was upgraded with a front system selected for a large 21-inch factory wheel. The project addressed the braking demands of a heavier new-energy vehicle while keeping the original-wheel fitment target.
Selected setup
The active T872 eight-piston front kit was recorded with a silver caliper, 400×36 mm full-floating slotted-and-drilled discs, M1 pads, stainless-steel braided hoses, and DOT 5.1 brake fluid. The source also noted TCCB carbon-ceramic discs as an optional direction, not the installed configuration.
Result
The full-floating discs are mounted on titanium-alloy bolts — about 43% lighter than steel — for a heavier NEV platform on its factory 21-inch wheel. The progressive piston layout and full-floating disc arrangement were chosen for stable brake force and thermal behavior. Final fitment remains dependent on the specific vehicle and wheel clearance.
