TCCB-R is TEI’s long-fiber carbon-ceramic rotor — a carbon-fiber-reinforced silicon carbide ceramic matrix composite (C/SiC) built around continuous carbon-fiber layup. A 0.8 mm silicon carbide friction coating protects the braking surface, and the rotor can be custom-made to OEM specifications in diameters from 355 mm to 440 mm.

Long-fiber construction is the more complex, higher-cost carbon-ceramic process. Originally developed for aerospace, ultra-high-speed rail and extreme-performance applications, it is now adapted for road use. Choose TCCB-R when you need custom sizing and maximum continuous-fiber strength; the short-fiber TCCB is the practical choice that balances performance and cost.

Fine hairline cracks in the SiC-coated surface are a normal characteristic of every carbon-ceramic disc: the coating and the disc body contract at different rates during manufacturing, and this crackle pattern releases the internal stress. The outer edge and inner bore are left uncoated on purpose to prevent edge chipping in assembly and transport.

Pads: carbon-ceramic discs must run TEI CS1 or CS2 compound pads only — compounds engineered specifically for the SiC-coated CCB surface. M1, M2, R1 and R2 compounds must not be used on carbon-ceramic discs.

What’s included: this listing is for the carbon-ceramic rotor only — rotor hats, brackets, pads and brake lines are not included. If you already run a TEI brake kit, its hat and brackets are the matching pair for these rotors. Pads are sold separately, and only the CS1 or CS2 compounds are compatible (see the pads note above).
