Carbon Ceramic Rotors
TEI's carbon-ceramic discs — a carbon fiber reinforced silicon carbide ceramic matrix composite — for lower unsprung weight and consistent stopping power under sustained heavy braking, with no fade. TCCB is one-piece molded with short carbon fibers, built for high-volume consistency; TCCB-R uses long fibers and can be custom-machined to OEM specifications. Surface crackle on the disc face is normal — the SiC coating and disc body cool at different rates, the same way a glaze crackles on ceramic.
